The dress is from Lanvin Resort 2010 and the shoes are Chloe Fall 2009. They work well together, don't you think?

She has a very unique approach to red-carpet-dressing and is not afraid of wearing Balenciaga pieces that various critics deem 'unwearable', 'unmarketable' and not 'realistic'. Jennifer is BOLD and daring with both her film roles and her fashion choices. Here we dressed her in Prada Spring 2009. The crumpled imperfection set against Connelly's clean and sophisticated demeanor really work for us, don't you think?

So the Balenciaga collection by Ghesquiere was GENIUS. I loved it loved it loved it. And what a profound statement Nicolas made when someone asked him "Is this the future?" and he responded with "No, for me this is Balenciaga for today.". Of course I'm paraphrasing a little but he was completely and utterly right.

How many times can we look into the past and reach for the distant future? We need fashion for TODAY.

Now, I've seen Cate Blanchett and Jennifer Connelly wearing the metallic dresses from the collection and honestly - they looked like boring party dresses. To make it interesting one needs to either keep the jersey-tops worn underneath OR the leggings and shoes combo. Not both. One or the other.
